Jennifer Lynn Trueman was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and now resides in Brampton, Ontario. Her earliest musical training began with piano lessons at the age of six. In secondary school, Jen displayed an aptitude for music, trying out various instruments such as the saxophone, clarinet, oboe, flute, and the french horn. She began composing music during her second year at the University of Toronto while majoring in Music Education and minoring in Music Composition. She currently studies composition with Alexander Rapoport and saxophone with Alex Dean. She has completed her third year at the University and aspires to become a high school music teacher.
