This piece is light hearted and bouncy and could resemble the feelings and senses a child might have when exploring a candy shop; different colors, sights, smells and of course, tastes! The piece is easy enough for a first year band to play, uses only the first 6 notes and provides enough of a challenge to keep students motivated. You can use it as an opportunity to teach staccato, articulation, accents and eighth note accuracy.
