Temple in the Clouds is an ethereal and effective work for brass, percussion and optional piano.It opens with 3 antiphonally spaced horns echoing a call as if it was an alphorn being played on a mountain top. Various soloists are featured throughout including soprano, flugel, cornet and euphonium. Full sonorous chorale moments contrast the clear, lightly scored cup muted cornets.
